Original oil sketch from a year or two ago, painted in the studio in preperation for an oil on canvas. These sketches are usually a much looser affair than the works on canvas. Painted on standard cartridge paper with plenty of turpentine solution ( a green version ) the paint drys quickly and with a semi transparancy...both circumstances lead to a distinctly different outcome to the version to follow rendered onto canvas.
